Tell us a bit about your job as an ABA Therapist.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with numerous children on the autism spectrum. I have experience implementing ABA programs tailored to the individual needs of each child. I have worked on improving their social skills, communication abilities, and daily living skills.
- What drove you to the ABA Therapist profession?
What drove me to the path of becoming the best version of myself to perform amazing results as an ABA has been how passionate it makes me feel to help others and encourage them to the best version of themselves.
How do you balance your career and family? Balancing a career and family life effectively involves setting boundaries, prioritizing tasks, communicating openly, and seeking support. It’s about creating a system that allows you to thrive in both areas without feeling overwhelmed, although my career has helped me as a parent to provide the best tools to my son for his learning path.
- How has Golden Care helped you in your career development?
It has change my career in so many incredible ways and I’m so grateful to be part of this family, I learn new things everyday and I’m exited to what the future holds.
- What advice do you have for prospective Golden Care candidates?
Working with a company that cares about you as an employee it’s a really important culture now in days and that’s something Golden Care provides, great families and work environment, if you’re looking to grow this is the right place to be.
- What do you find the most challenging in your work as an ABA Therapist?
I feel like progress is one of the most important, seeing how the progress of my client is increasing or sometimes decreases, you see how much change and progress you can make and sometimes you want more than expected, but this is about understanding and patience, good things take time.
- What drew you to Golden Care originally? And how has Golden Care changed since?
I was lucky enough to have a old coworker referred me to this company and it’s been amazing to be part of this journey and it has changed my career perspective in all ways, Golden Care in general I feel it changes everyday for the better trying its best to give client/employee the best comfortability as possible.
- What have you gained from working at Golden Care?
A lot of expectations of my own work performance and training on how to grow my career drastically.
- What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t give up on your dreams, trust the process and learn to grow.
- What’s the one thing you’d tell your younger self?
Not to rush things and to take time to appreciate stages of life, everything takes its own time and everything happens for a reason, this has been my lifetime dream, working with kids helping them develop and look at me now here working for such an amazing company.
- What is the favorite part in your work as an ABA Therapist/ of working for Golden Care?
Definitely getting exited about process with the parents, when I see my client it’s starting to act more independent, talk, identify behaviors it makes me proud and tells me my job is being well done, seeing the parents smile and happy for their kid, that’s all I ask for.
- What is your proudest moment at Golden Care/ in your work as an ABA Therapist?
I have had the chance to work with clients that haven’t make any changes in a long time, than I get to treat them and they improve in all ways, that makes me feel so proud of my performance and gives me motivation to keep preparing myself educationally.
- What is one thing that you wished people knew about your job?
Many people think this is an easy job, but it takes consistency, strength, mental health, all those factors matter and everyone needs to prioritize them.
- What does the day to day of your job look like?
Getting to the clients home, catching up with parents about the day, start my lessons and give the best I can to help my client, walk them through lessons, wait for results.
